As Toad's tour bus driver for almost 5 years, I had the unique experience of getting to know Toad and their crew from the inside. As much as their fans may have loved their music and their shows, they would have grown to love them more if they could have seen them in every-day situations as I did. They were thoughtful and considerate, quiet but emotional, politically motivated in many of their ideas; sometimes trying after what they considered a "bad" show, but always good to me and the rest of the crew. I have seen and spoken to Glen once since the break-up, while he was touring with other singer-songwriters in Philly. The others I have not seen or heard from, but would certainly like to know how they're doing. They are my friends, and I miss them. Bill
