We have two official mailing lists, and there's an unofficial,
but very fascinating, Listserv.
They are explained thusly...

    Snail Mail

Our old standby, the "Snail Mail" list has been a passion of ours since "early days." It allows us to send old fashioned mail slowly and at great expense. Past mailings have included numerous tour date cards, stickers, the occasional holiday card, and free (or at-cost) cassettes and CDs of unreleased material. Tour merchandise is sometimes available to those who don't live near a tour city or who went to a gig, but forgot their change purse. If you're already on, there's no need to sign up again (nothing like duplicates to screw up a good mailing list); if you moved and didn't get around to notifying us, click the change of address box. As has always been the case, this list will never be sold to anyone else for any purpose or amount of money. There are currently about 60,000 of you on the "snail mail" list.

    E-Mail

We're starting to gather an email list for faster, cheaper, dissemination of important info. We're not entirely sure what all the possible uses of it may be, but as technology advances ever more rapidly it seems likely that only the tip of the iceberg is currently visible. Make sure you enter your most permanent address, as keeping track of your moves can be daunting. As with the "snail mail" list, this info stops with us.

    ListServ

For the last couple of years a few industrious folks, with clearly too much free time, have been running a "listserv," or internet mailing list. The best explanation we can come up with is that it's a closed-circuit discussion group. People post questions, lyric interpretations, tape trees, concert reviews, pleas for tickets, info on the rarer recordings, etc. Whenever a "member" posts a message to the "server" it's automatically distributed to all other "members" as email. We like it. Check it out.
